From the tales of Woody Guthrie to the jams at Sun Studios, to
the anthems of Ani Difranco, Victor Jara and Neil Young, music
has served as the Voice of the People. In this workshop we'll
play tunes that reacted to and shaped cultures (in the US and
abroad) while learning the history of the music and the
musicians. All instrumentalists, singers and hand clappers are
welcome! This workshop is a precursor to an 8 week class that Andrea will offer at Old Town starting this fall (Tuesdays 6:30 at 909 W Armitage, and Sundays 2pm at 4544 N LIncoln).
