Welcome to the Congress of Starlings website! We are Aerin Tedesco and Andrea Bunch, now featuring Tommi Zender on drums and Greg Nergaard on bass.
This weekend, COS played sunny, fabulous Chicago Folk and Roots Festival, put on by The Old Town School of Folk Music. Check out the photos page for lots of great pics.
Coming up on Saturday Aug 2, is Old Town's Festival of Life, Chicago 1968. Aerin and andrea will be playing in this with special guests! The following day, Andrea will be teaching a workshop called Voice of the People -scroll down to read about it.

From the tales of Woody Guthrie to the jams at Sun Studios, to
the anthems of Ani Difranco, Victor Jara and Neil Young, music
has served as the Voice of the People. In this workshop we'll
play tunes that reacted to and shaped cultures (in the US and
abroad) while learning the history of the music and the
musicians. All instrumentalists, singers and hand clappers are
welcome! This workshop is a precursor to an 8 week class that Andrea will offer at Old Town starting this fall (Tuesdays 6:30 at 909 W Armitage, and Sundays 2pm at 4544 N LIncoln).
